I was just disappointed that they don’t have any costumes for younger children, my daughter really wants to go as Tiny this year and I would just love to have a theme and have my son go as Buddy, unfortunately they only have costumes for child/toddler sizes. Oh well, guess we will have to wait for next year for him to fit.

A Buddy costume as the cutest head and perfect orange material. You would have a pretty hard time creating one of these yourself, and they are actually an inexpensive costume. Even if you went out and bought material to make your own, you’d have a hard time creating something of the same quality and likeness. Right now you can only get Buddy or Tiny, and luckily Tiny is who my daughter wanted to be, and I know there are a ton of Buddy fans out there. But what about the other kids? What about the parents, would you buy a mom or dad Pteranodon costume if they had one? I think I would

They have so many likable characters on that show, I could easily see people wanting to go as the conductor or tank, although being on all fours might be a little tough for the Halloween march down the street!

But I think you get my point. There are some large families out there and I’m sure a lot of kids in the same family want to dress up in a Dinosaur Train costume, but do you really want 2 or 3 Buddy costumes walking down the street together? Wouldn’t it be cooler if everyone could go as someone else, Shiny or Don, or even one of the characters they meet on their travels.

I’m sure the Dinosaur Train people have considered and maybe they even have some things in the works for next year. A lot of kids were disappointed last Christmas when they had no Dinosaur Train toys out, but this year will be completely different. If you haven’t gotten any yet, don’t be the last one! Buddy the dinosaur is probably the most popular one from the show, with Tiny coming in a close second. My daughter looked absolutely adorable in her Tiny costume last year and I think I can maybe fake everyone else out and say it can be a Don costume for my son when he grows into it. With Halloween and play time the costume gets a lot of use and is holding up nicely. Your child’s face is quite adorable peaking out under the mouths.

The suits themselves are soft and well made with a zipper, tail, feet that go over their shoes and the head piece. These costumes went really fast last year so don’t wait if your child wants to be Buddy. I was barely able to get a Tiny costume last year even though I bought it a month in advance, we got lucky!

You could try to make one yourself, but I assure you it isn’t going to be easy and it likely won’t look like Buddy when you are finished. Your children are going to grow up so fast, I know that saving a few dollars here and there is important, but these costumes don’t cost that much and if you were to buy the material and take the time to make it, I promise you you’re not going to save much money and you’ll wish that you had just gotten this costume in time. The pictures you’ll get from this years Halloween will be so adorable and one day you can remember back to their cute Dinosaur Train fanatic phase.
